So for this post I tought I'd go ahead and write about what I thought was the best album of 2009. That album would have to be Merriweather Post Pavillion, Animal Collective's ninth studio album. I'm definately not the only one thinking this though, the album has topped best-of lists since it first came out.The album was released a while ago,January 6th, but no album has been able to come near it all year. This is the group most pop sounding album, but they manage to keep away from making it sound like mainstream pop. Again they master mixing everything from house music to psychedelic rock, but that's what's expected from them. It is definately their most accessible album, they just keep getting better and better! It has the potential to make you smile, feel sad, or burst out dancing and singing.So if you haven't heard it yet, pick it up.
